The Aviation Industry accounts for over 16 Billion gallons of Jet fuel per year, and upwards of 5% of the Green House gases.

Featured technology:

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) has developed a novel biofuel technology (patent pending) that converts non-edible oils such as Jatropha, castor and algal oils into green jet, diesel fuel, and gasoline. ARA has demonstrated this technology, using laboratory-scale prototype systems, to produce biofuels that meet JP-8 and Naval Distillate specifications. ARA successfully demonstrated that Jatropha oil is an ideal feedstock for production of green jet and diesel fuel using the catalytic hydrothermolysis process. ARA is developing a continuous-flow mobile unit to demonstrate the feasibility of the technology at Jatropha Harvest Experience Conference in April 2010.

Costa Rica Seed Company has brought in both a new high volume, commerical Expeller and a bioreactor that can convert approximately 35,000 gallons of Jatropha oil to B100 a month.
